Too good to be true ....

Sometimes it is too good to be true ..... been hurt too many times ... been rejected and ignored ..... and once in a while something good comes along ... I am a bit weary that history will repeat itself.

But then life is too short ... it is meant to be lived to the fullest ... so here I am again and I will open up my heart again ..... to be vulnerable again .... for this something which is too good to be true.

Penang here I come

I am currently in Penang for a course. I will be here until Sunday. Managed to get a room at a nice hotel facing the sea with a nice view of Gurney Drive. The only thing is that I am too zonked out after the course to go out in the evenings.... maybe tonight I will take a walk along Gurney Drive.

Another day at work and another one of those days where I am tested ... the air con had been down since yesterday and only today in the morning when we wanted to push the patients into the respective OT ..... we were informed that the air cond was not functioning well and that we have to wait for 1 to 1 1/2 half hours for the chillers to kick in !!!!!!! Apparently only in the morning the person in charge found out and took action. So here I am waiting and waiting and waiting. And I am trying to keep calm coz time is wasted. And also unfair to the patients if the case have to be canceled when there is not enough OT time. And I will be on call again tomorrow.

We are not able to proceed if the temp is not cold enough because of the risk of infections for the patients who will be getting implants like the spine surgery and the interlocking nails for the fractures.

Hope I will not finish too late today as I have made some plans for tonight. The word that I keep repeating in my mind over and over again ... is "Patience ... patience ... take a deep breath ... Patience"

My food steamer

One of my new year resolution is to be more healthy ....... I decided to buy myself a food steamer and I managed to get a recipe book from the bookstore to learn to cook a variety of dishes using the food steamer.

Right now I am making my dinner .... 2 corn and 2 sausages :)

Dinner at Tony Roma's

I had dinner with my friends at work last Tuesday at Tony Roma's and it was my first time there. One of my friends will be taking a long break from work to follow her husband to Australia. She is a dear friend and will be missed.

I decided to bring my Canon 350D along which had been collecting dust recently.

We ordered Onion Rings for starters which was gone in no time .... it was yummy

One of those days..

Just one of those days .... finished my elective list early and the OT list for the next day is not out yet and found out that I have 7 patients to see !!!! and only 2 have been admitted. As the days go by .... I am more clear about what I should do with my life. I realized that I can't see myself doing this kind of work for the rest of my life...... maybe I should venture into administration or telemedicine.

Ok time to go see my patients .... more later.
